What is the Passive Voice?
The passive voice in Swedish emphasizes the action or the receiver of the action rather than the subject performing the action. It is formed using the auxiliary verbs "blir" (becomes) or "är" (is) in the present, "blev" (became) or "var" (was) in the past, or "kommer att bli" (will become) in the future, followed by the past participle of the main verb with a passive ending "-s".
